The university is offering wide range of diversified subjects with flexible degree selection. Its actuarial sciences under the degree of Bachelor of Science is a very running course in which studies the art of risk; measuring it, assessing it, managing it, mitigating and profiting from it. Actuarial Science is exciting, stimulating yet a challenging program and its skillsets are in increasingly high demand. This course is accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) so students will receive exemptions from some of the IFoA’s professional exams, depending on modules and grades.

Originally built on a golf course, the campus has grown to include a number of award-winning buildings such as Sportspark, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and even its own Norfolk Broad, the lake. The Sportspark on campus is one of the biggest indoor sports center in Britain with an Olympic sized pool.

The campus is sited in acre upon acre of landscaped grounds, woodland, a lake and playing fields for sports including lacrosse, American football, soccer and rugby.

It is home to Norwich Research Park, one of Europe’s biggest community of researchers in the area of environment, health and plant science. Norwich is a small city but it is very lively comprised of amazing night life, bars, pubs, cafes, restaurant and 1500 historic buildings.

The university provides on campus accommodation. There are over 4,000 furnished rooms on campus within 320 acres of parkland. The students can get accommodation based on their budgets as they provide range of rooms, including en-suites, standard single rooms, standard twin rooms, family housing, and two bedroom flats.

International undergraduate Scholarship:

There are certain conditions to be applicable for the available scholarship. Students need to be non- EU resident and they need to have Students need to have conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2020.

Applicants will be considered on one of our monthly panels and successful applicants will receive an award of £4,000, £6,000 or £10,000 per year of study. An unlimited number of awards are available from £1,000 to £5,000 depending on the students’ grades.

INTO UEA Foundation Result

The scholarship will automatically be awarded in the form of a first-year tuition fee discount. Students need to independently fund their studies rather than being sponsored by the organization to avail this scholarship.

50% final year continuations scholarship

The university also grants masters funding for the undergraduates achieving first class degree from University of East Anglia and who wish to continue their study at UEA so they will remain self-funded for the duration of a Master’s degree or first year of a Doctorate programmed, which you proceed onto within 6 months of your graduation.

Scholarship for International Students

In order to be considered for these scholarships you must be an international offer holder, beginning your studies in September 2020. Awards form a tuition fee deduction of £4,000.

The university provides numerous facilities to its students so that they can get the best study experience. It does not just provide world class education but students are nourished in modern and dynamic environment. Sports facilities on campus includes the Sportspark which has an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Other distinguished fixtures include The Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Arts, a famous public art museum located on campus. The University also hosts an international Literary Festival which has hosted world renowned authors such as Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro and Anne Enright.

Career Central is a campus-based careers service which assist and guides students to enter the practical world by updating students about the new opportunities, motivated and praised by student reviewers. Students also have opportunities to complete their job and internships, develop ties and learn under the supervision of mentors, alumni, and employers, as well as attend workshops.

Part-time work on campus is also available through UEA's student helper, ambassador schemes, and UEA's Students' Union. UEA's Enterprise Centre has been developed to help students turn their entrepreneurial ambitions into reality, whether starting a business, a social enterprise or going self-employed.

UEA students can also access other advice services for budget limitations, accommodation trouble and academic issues. Other than this, University also has a strong student body run by 100 full-time staff and 300 students, they become the voice of the students and organize entertainment including Welcome Week and quizzes. They also monitor 200 clubs and societies, open to all students.

The University is ranked 192nd by the World University ranking 2020, 16th in Youth University ranking 2013, and 46th in European Teaching Rankings 2019. The academic reputation of UEA is consistently top in the UK and is listed in top 15 in UK in Times/Sunday times 2019.

Research Excellence Framework rank the School 4th in the country for overall research, with majority of research ranked “world-leading” UEA is ranked in the top 1% of HE institutions in the world and is a leading member of the Norwich Research Park; one of Europe’s largest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science.

The Complete University Guide’s 2019 rankings really highlight the strengths of UEA with 9 of its subjects appearing in the top ten for their subject listings. These include the following subjects: Physiotherapy (3rd), Social Work (4th), Nursing (5th), Aural & Oral Sciences (5th), American Studies (5th), Pharmacology & Pharmacy (7th), Creative Writing (8th), Marketing (8th) and Communication & Media Studies (10th), school of development is ranked 12th in the QS world ranking.

UEA recently received Gold, the highest rating in the new Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2017) - the Government’s new method of assessing the teaching delivered by higher education providers.
