Guaranteed Accommodation

Students will receive an accommodation letter once students’ status has changed through UCAS to an unconditional firm and all academic requirements have been met. The University will offer guaranteed student accommodation for the first year students by finding a comfortable and feasible halls of residence for them to live nearby the Sheffield Hallam campus. University has variety of room types to suit all budgets from £85 to £140 per week all in self-catered residences.

Student Ambassadors

Student ambassadors are current students studying at the university, they could be students from UK or EU or non EU students. They will share their university experience and help others to guide them related to university. We can connect with the student of our choice depending on their home country, course, hobbies and interests.

Sheffield Hallam University has two main campuses located in city campus in the heart of the city center and collegiate campus in the leafy student district of Ecclesall Road.

Almost every building on the campuses have places to eat and drink providing quality and varied food at reasonable prices within the university. The institution focuses on the student university experience, hence they invest GBP 4 million per year into its IT facilities. High quality sports and fitness facilities are also available to students.

The university delivers numerous vital services which reinforce the exceptional Sheffield Hallam University experience and add value to university journey. The university aims to provide best university experience to the international students, hence they have the International Experience Team to assist international students from pre-arrival support till graduation.

It is also accountable to its students for the quality and standards of its academic provision. Students can access to a range of modern, extremely well-equipped meeting rooms and spaces in which students will not just study and socialize but also get the support and guidance on finance, accommodation, mental and emotional health, IT facilities and academic wellbeing. Furthermore, Sheffield Regional Assessment Centre provides need assessments for disabled students entering onto an advanced education course.

Student Engagement, Evaluation and Research (STEER) supports the needs of our learning community, as identified through the generation, evaluation and analysis of student and sector information. Other than this, the university encourages business mindsets and they have established Business start-up services for all current students and alumni up to five years after graduation. The Students' Union manages a large number of clubs, societies and other services.

The Unite Foundation

This is especially designed for care leavers and estranged students studying at Hallam. The scholarship funds accommodation for three years of undergraduate program to students aged 25 or under who are estranged from family or care leavers.

High Achiever scholarship

It is valid for students who are securing AAB grades in A-levels, they have a household income of less than £42,875. Furthermore, the university is also providing Care Leaver Bursary with a support package of £3,500 every taught year of your course. It’s good news for students who are active in sports, they can also attain scholarship up to £6,000 for high sportsmanship in the Performance Athletes Support Program.

This is valid for Sheffield Hallam graduates who wish continue their studies and pursue masters.

Transform Together Scholarships

A half fee waiver (50% discount) is available for master’s program and for per year of an undergraduate program.

The Careers and Employability Centre assists students to develop market- required skills and provides expert advice on post-graduation planning. The service helps students find part-time jobs, become self-employed and gain work experience.

TThe university also offers guaranteed work experience on their degree courses. It has industrial ties with more than 1,000 organizations, including the BBC, Sony, NHS, and Rolls-Royce, enabling them to offer over 24,000 placements and internships every year.

TThe university has strong industrial ties, they have extended their partnership with more than 1,000 businesses to provide student work placements and offers over 25,000 placements each year. According to The Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey (DLHE), 94% of Sheffield Hallam University undergraduates get job or advanced study programs within six months of graduation.
