Telecommunications is an ever-changing, technologically advanced game changing technology including 5G, software defined networks (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT), private drones, autonomous vehicles, Broadband, cloud networks and flexible systems variables. With these changes, these technologies provide opportunities to re-create the communications industry but also the way we live. The University of Wollongong Master of Telecommunications Engineering provides graduate engineers with basic knowledge and technical skills in advanced technology during study in Australia. You will learn the technical and competitive skills required for the design and development of new telecommunications systems and networks. You will gain an understanding of the principles of telecommunications engineering, including the design and management of telecommunications networks. You will gain the mathematical and computational skills needed to solve technical and textual problems.
During study in Australia, the Master of Engineering submits technical skills and applies the skills required to a skilled engineer. It is designed to train and perform exemplary work, develop technical and technical skills, and provide an opportunity to practice theory through applied projects and research. This degree provides communication skills, techniques and management of projects that are important to the developer of practice. In the main Telecommunication you will learn courses in Advanced Signals and Systems, Indication and Optimal Control, Cellular Networks, and three additional courses selected in Electrical, Computer, Machine or Engineer courses.
This range includes fast-moving information networks, as well as a network defined by multi-layered, multi-band, multi-layered, electronic radio technology; 4G and 5G cellular networks; software-defined network of 5G networks, data centers and cloud networks; edge computer; cognitive radios; network operations; Network security and IoT standards; and autonomous vehicles and smart homes where software, 5G and cloud are defined. You will have the opportunity to design creative solutions by designing and designing sustainable and building projects, as well as participating in Engineer Without Borders Challenge - a service-focused course dedicated to all levels of UOW engineering.
